Among Bangkok’s luxury hotels, Sivatel Hotel Bangkok stands out; it is smaller, more minimalist in

style, and offers a more personalised experience.

Sivatel is an all-suite hotel

Sivatel is an all-suite hotel with 75 suites of varying sizes, starting from the 32-square-metre

Jasmine Suite to spacious multi-room accommodations. For larger families, the two-bedroom

suites, which exceed 100 square metres, offer a practical solution. The rooms boast breathtaking

city views of Bangkok’s skyscraper skyline.

The best way to describe Sivatel’s style is modern Scandinavian. Light, muted tones, practical

details, and functional interior design solutions make it an ideal choice for lovers of Nordic

minimalism. Individual air-conditioning in each room allows guests to set their preferred

temperature for sleeping and relaxing.

A breakfast that won’t disappoint

Sivatel’s breakfast is as good as you would expect from a luxury hotel in Bangkok. The buffet

breakfast is served on the 8th floor at The Porch restaurant, extending into an adjacent outdoor

space. A chef is on hand to prepare omelettes or even fry an organic egg to your liking. The

friendly staff are also happy to assist guests with dietary restrictions.

Rooftop pool on the 8th floor

Sivatel’s pool area offers stunning city views, for now. However, there are existing plans to develop

the empty plot across the street. Construction is not expected to begin before 2026, but it’s worth

checking before booking, as the peaceful poolside atmosphere could be significantly affected by

construction noise.

The pool is open from morning until evening, and for much of the day, it is shaded from direct

sunlight, a welcome feature in Bangkok’s heat. The pool is 22 metres long, and there is a separate

children's pool.

Sustainability and responsibility

Sivatel Hotel was originally founded with a focus on sustainable food sourcing. Today, its

commitment to sustainability has expanded to a more holistic approach. Environmental awareness

and long-standing community engagement with local farmers have refined its concepts and

ensured high-quality ingredients. The hotel also has its own rooftop garden, where gardeners grow

fresh herbs.

Sivatel takes every possible step to reduce food waste. However, since some waste is inevitable,

the hotel has found an innovative way to repurpose it as chicken feed. Sivatel has its own insect

farm, where black soldier flies are bred. As they grow, the larvae consume all the hotel's organic

food waste. After about a month, they are transferred to a chicken farm, where they serve as an

excellent protein source for the hens, whose eggs are then purchased by the hotel.

Prime location in central Bangkok

Sivatel Hotel is conveniently located near Bangkok’s major shopping centres. The most practical

way to get around is via the city's elevated and air-conditioned Skytrain. The Sukhumvit Line runs

close to the hotel, with the nearest station, Phloen Chit BTS, situated in the same block as Sivatel

Hotel Bangkok. Just two stops away, you’ll find yourself outside Bangkok’s massive shopping

malls. The malls, located next to each other, are also within walking distance. MBK Centre Mall,

the furthest from Sivatel, is about a 30-minute walk away, with much of the route accessible via a

covered pedestrian walkway. The total walking distance is just over two kilometres.

In the opposite direction, Bangkok’s central park, Lumphini Park, is about 1.5 kilometres (a 20-

minute walk) from the hotel, along the road that runs past the hotel entrance. Almost directly

opposite Sivatel, you’ll find the Park Hyatt Bangkok, a tower hotel with a rooftop bar offering

spectacular city views.

Who is Sivatel for?

Sivatel Hotel Bangkok is ideal for those looking for a spacious and modern accommodation option

right in the city centre. It is particularly recommended for families, as the two-bedroom suites

comfortably accommodate larger groups without anyone having to sleep on a sofa. There is plenty

of space, and breakfast keeps you going well into the afternoon. Perhaps you’ve spent a week in

rural Thailand or at a beach resort and want something entirely different for the final days of your

trip?
